Always love Tompkins. First time staying in D, we liked it. Good spot on the water not far from the bathrooms. One drawback- the asphalt drive was eroded away so that there was a big step down to the ground just outside the camper preventing a nice wide seating area. More than one kid fell over it during the trip. My daughters site next to me had the same issue.

Always love Tompkins. First time staying in D, we liked it. Good spot on the water not far from the bathrooms. Too many barking dogs. Absolutely out of control. Had to eat in the trailer to talk with each other over the barking. Called camp hosts to report a camper in our loop cut down a live tree on their site for firewood! They should have been asked to leave the park for doing that the hosts did nothing. Will not return for awhile.

Policies & Rules
General
- No off-road vehicles allowed in park
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Check-Out time is 4pm and Check-In time is 6pm
- Camper Self-Check In Cards are located at the entrance of the campground. Please grab a card apon entry, fill it out and attach it to your campsite post. A ranger will verify the information written on the card later and check you in.
