Park is great, but needs to be updated for the modern bigger rigs. There are some trees that are to close to the camper pads causing damage to campers when backing in or opening slides. To make matters worse, they are listed to accommodate 45ft rigs. Maybe the pad is that long once you’re in it.
Crystal Springs did a great job making there sights more modern rig friendly.
Also the dump station was in bad repair.

Tompkins Bend is the best campsites on Lake Ouachita. The Host's are friendly and always willing to lend a hand , if needed. If you haven't camper there, you're missing out.

Campsite was nice and clean and lots of shade and the lake was beautiful. The bathroom/shower wasn’t too bad when we got there but was never cleaned while we were there. It was the same day after day and then one day it was all locked up and the sign said to use another facility. The other facility was at another camping area and it was absolutely disgusting! This was very disappointing as this was our first time to visit this beautiful area. I don’t understand why our public use areas that many, many people visit can’t be cleaned and maintained.
