Aux Arc COE is a great place to stay. It’s close to Fort Smith and Alma if you want to do some shopping. The sites and campgrounds are well maintained. We have stayed several times during the year made some really great friends. We enjoy seeing the barges going into the lock and dam. The camp hosts a very nice and friendly. It’ is our first choice of where to stay.

We love AuxArc, clean, well kept, nice facilities and safe environment. Plus it’s close enough to home I can work if I have to work.

Friendly small town. Great hosts, especially Judy😊 Close to the lock so watching tug traffic is really good. There are train tracks on the other side of the river, hey do whistle on crossing. Always amazed by folks that don't look ahead, then complain about train noise. Mostly shaded sites. Pull in with motorhome if you like for a great view. Good VZV and Tmob cells.

Beautiful campground, but if are not used to trains in the middle of the night, it will definitely startle you!

I think it would nicer if we could make reservations at the park versus online. If wanting to extend the stay, should be allowed at the park without having to move to a different site if the one you’re on is available. It doesn’t make sense to have to move sites to extend a stay when available. I would think the government would want to be making the money instead of loosing money.

Beutiful scene overlooking the Arkansas river. Internet (with Verizon) was excellent, campground was quiet, and grass was well maintained. Would go again. Only item to be aware of is that some of the sites (like mine) shared the site entryway with the adjoining site, before the splitting into two parking areas (sort of like a "Y" shape. This meant my vehicle would normally have look right into the site next to me. I was camping in a small teardrop trailer so I simply turned the trailer so that my view was towards the river, and it felt very open and private. I didn't care for the bathrooms, but I say that about most of them at campgrounds.

We started out on C loop and it was nice, but then we moved to a riverside B spot. Better bathrooms and So pretty! It would have been peaceful without so many dogs barking day and night.
