We loved this place campground was nice and clean. We did go over holiday weekend so it was busy. Staff was easy to deal with and super friendly.

When we arrived our campsite was filled with trash. Countless cigarette butts EVERYWHERE, trash in the fire pit (including the empty cigarette cartons), and burned pressure treated lumber.
Pressure treated lumber contains copper, chromium, and arsenic and should never be burned. I hope the person before us is ok.

We told the camp host and the site was cleaned, however there was still remaining cigarette butts, trash, and ash from the pressure treated lumber fire. We ended up altering our reservation and moving to another site in the campground. The new site was still covered in trash but manageable enough for us to clean ourselves.

Lovely and well maintained campground with lots of mature trees and large grassy areas. Great hosts. Super clean bathroom and showers. One of my favorites. Decent cell service.

Peaceful. Relaxing. Clean. Camping on the river side was so worth it. My wife wasn't sure about being just across the river from Ozark, but there was something about watching the barges moving slowly up and down the river, the twinkling lights of the historical homes on the bluff across the river at night, and even the train snaking around the bluff and under the amazing bridge..well, it just that relaxed me.

NOTE: A special event application is required for any event including, but not limited to one or more of the following: 1. An entry, spectator, or participating fee is charged 2. If you have an anticipated attendance of 100 or more persons 3. An extraordinary impact on project resources is expected 4. Corps personnel provide additional patrols, surveillance, refuse collection, and/or crowd control 5. Event involves the use of concession tents and/or vendors 6. Event involves Bounce Houses/Bump N Jump Inflatables 7. Fishing Tournament 8.
