Aux Arc park offers a lovely camping experience with clean, spacious sites and friendly attendants. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views of the Arkansas River, and proximity to local amenities, including dining and shopping in Ozark. Very convenient access and easy connections. Though the mowing of the grass had been neglected for a long period of time and not prepared for a holiday weekend. Several customers cut their campsite grass using their weed trimmers.

Always a good place for us. The bathrooms are always clean and showers too. Paula is always a blast to be around. The grass was final cut two days before we left. The check in was a little slow because no one was there.
Guest need to be responsible for helping keep our parks clean. These are our parks respect them! Help keep America and our parks clean!

Would’ve gotten 4 stars but the yard work needs attention. Our site had grass and weeds up to our knees. Very frustrating.

The park is older but so beautiful and the ppl were so helpful. Especially Richard the attendant. We had a hydraulic problem and he went out of his way to help us. We will always stay in the ACOE parks as long as they are available. Most affordable & beautiful. It’s the kind of place you would buy yourself.

This beautiful park on the banks of the Arkansas is my favorite of all the Federal campgrounds. It is close the a small, charming little town of Ozark, Arkansas.
There are not any full hookups, so bring your honey wagon if camping the full two weeks allowed.

I'll be honest, when we first arrived, I was less than thrilled about this campsite, but if you give it a little time and do some exploring here, you will quickly love it.
Our spot was C-05, which has ZERO shade and we were here during a heatwave, so that added to my disappointment at first. C-05 is located on the "fishing" side of the campground. When we arrived for check-in, we drove up to the guard shack and saw beautiful campsites with big shaded lots, covered picnic tables, and lantern posts. The "fishing" side doesn't have any of those amenities.
But the "fishing" side has AMAZING trails that go down to the water. And it's BEAUTIFUL down there. There's a bridge that takes you over a creek to the rocks by the dam, or you can walk down the rocks (carefully!) to the creek.
Also, while we were at Aux Arc, I had an accident and broke my ankle coming out of our RV. My husband had gone fishing and had no cell service (he was hours away). The volunteers at the camp were wonderful. They called 911 and stayed with me until the ambulance arrived. They also came to check in on me after I came back from the hospital and my eventual surgery.
If you're looking for a quiet place to fish or relax, this is it. Just pick a spot with more shade. :)
