First off, we love this park!! It is so clean, and the pads are always cleaned off. The bathrooms are always clean and have tissue.
But,in the few times we have stayed her, for sometimes a week at a time, we have never seen or heard a lawnmower. The grass isn't knee high, but it needs mowed!
And why is no one hardly
in the gate house?
And why can the gatehouse not make any changes. Covid is over!!

The bathrooms and sites were very clean! Once again the grass was high! Lots of speeding thru the park

This was a great weekend trip! The sites were great and the bathrooms were super clean! I would say mowing needs to be done! Everytime I’m there the grass is high!

Staff was very friendly, but until I arrived I did not realize my site was in the Most run down area of the park, the southern “C” area. This actually could have been ok but locals (lots of people fishing, some walking dogs) were continually walking between the closely placed campsites to access the river. The COE park knows about this local foot traffic since there are mown paths to get to the river access points, and several signs saying “parking for campers only”. I did not feel safe and departed after one evening, (reservation was four nites). If the campground had mentioned the locals walking between campsites multiple times a day I would have never booked this site. No one was in the office the morning I decided to leave; calling the office number went to a recording but never stated the name of the park so no idea where I was calling. No doubt the glowing reviews for this COE park only describe the northern section of this campground, which look renovated and do not have locals walking between the sites.

We spent two nights at this campground. Our site was right on the water. It was very clean and the bugs were not too bad. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

No trails, No swim area. Looked like a few long term campers. Our fire pit was full of burned lumber pieces and melted plastic and other half burnt household trash. Had to clean out the pit to use it.
However, it's a quiet camp ground.

Bring bug spray. The flies by the water sites are bad. But all else is great with this campground. It’s well-maintained, the bathrooms clean and the people friendly. I will always return when I’m in the area. It also has great cellular service. I had 4 bars all the time on AT&T.

sites are black topped, fairly level and spacing is decent. It looked like most sites had a enclosed gravel area next to the pad. Helps keep mud and dirt down. Campground is wooded for the most part and offers shade to most sites. The downside is that means there are tree branches that could come down. I only saw two above us and they seemed well lodged in place. The campground is right on the Arkansas River and was peaceful to watch. Come to find out that barge traffic is the most efficient method to transport cargo.
