was traveling and figured they would not be busy on a Monday, so did not make a reservation ahead of time. When we arrived at the park, there was no one working the booth, so to get a site we had to call Recreation.gov. The wait was not long and we were assigned a site (we had the agent pick because we had no knowledge of the layout. The park was clean, a little muddy from the rains that day, but we enjoyed our overnight stay, and hope to return some day for a longer visit.

Lovely, quiet campground only a few miles from the freeway on all good roads. Campsites are spacious and the bathrooms are clean and modern. We hope to stay here again.

I loved the layout of the campground. Spacious and well maintained. Being off-season, the primitive campsite area was closed.that gave a very nice place to walk our dog… cell service with T-Mobile was excellent. This was one of the reason we choose this campsite… it was a Sunday , football time…

Beautiful view. Wide-open spaces. We saw Egrets and Herons (we think).
Nice picnic tables, big fire pit. Only stayed one night, but would have loved to stay longer.

My wife, 8 year old daughter & I enjoyed our weekend camping trip. Dogs to, of course. I haven’t been here in about 12 years. This is one of the close to home campgrounds that are good to go to on weekend getaways. Close to many restaurants within a 20 minute drive. Sometimes it’s nice to go to a smaller campground so you won’t be dealing with larger crowd & competing for bathhouse. Plan to come again soon.

This is a beautiful, quiet, well maintained park. We found it looking for an overnight stay so only stayed for 1 night and only expierienced the campground but will definitely spend a few days the next time we're thru Arkansas so we can explore the rest of the park. I believe most if not all sites are on the water. This is a hidden gem. Definitly worh hanging out for awhile....
