A great peaceful camp close to Little Rock and the highway!

The camp volunteer Sharon was great, very friendly and helpful during our stay. She was promoted while we were there and will now be the full time Camp Host! I’m sure she’ll do great, stop by and chat with her or while she’s out and about, she’ll provide all kind of visitor and area information.

The grass was extremely high. We had to purchase a weedeater to mow all of our sites since we had small children. It is a very good thing to because we killed 4 snakes in the grass. Grass was over ankle deep on a grown man.

Very beautiful place, enjoyed my visit even though it turned out to be a chilly night and very windy. Will be going back soon. Overall, I can't wait to go back in June. Location had water and electric and was on a concrete pad with shade trees right along side of Arkansas river.

We were traveling from Kentucky to Texas and back. In planning the route, came across Willow Beach in the area I wanted us to stop in and there were very nice reviews. All the reviews were correct! Beautiful place, exceptional playground (locals said it was new), plenty of room between sites and around park for those who just visit for the day (camping area is indicated by a sign to keep others from intruding), the park and campground is set right on the river/lake. Fire rings, concrete picnic tables under shelter with concrete pads were super! Didn’t get to check the bathhouse because we have our own on board and were only there for the night. Water and electric with dump site on the way out. We were towing a car behind our Class A RV and ended up having to take it off the dolly in order to back in, wasn’t happy that there are no pull through sites, but it just happened to give us a learning lesson and it worked out. Several days prior to our trip, I did cancel our return night and only received a partial refund. That’s pretty much the only negative besides it being difficult for RV’s towing. But a very pretty place! We were in the first site F-01 next to the playground, but far enough away from the ruckus.

This campground was ok for a night stay. It's on the water but the grass is grown up and not maintained. The lady at the front is very nice. We stayed here in a 39 foot TT.

There is no staff at the park. You have to deal totally online.

This is a small and quiet campground during the week -- the day-use area next door may make the whole park busier on weekends

We were in Site F4 and it was a good spot for being not too far from the bathroom building but far enough away that it wasn't lit up at night by the building's obnoxiously bright outside lights. (The first few sites on that end get a lot of light pollution from the bathroom.)

The bathroom building was constructed in 2019 and is well laid out. There are four individual units with toilet, sink, shower, and baby changing station inside. The only real complaint we had was maintenance on the bathrooms. They are not always maintained well by the volunteer staff and we frequently found some of units were without toilet paper and none of them had any soap.

We weren't here on the weekend, so this review is for weekday camping only, but we found it quite peaceful. Also, some reviews have mentioned a lot of bugs, but we didn't find any that were bothersome, perhaps because we were here when it was still a bit chilly.

The river is a nice view and you can see it from almost every campsite. We'd recommend a site on the river side if you can get one though.

Phone service was decent for Verizon and T-Mobile with reasonable speeds even though the signal jumped around 2-3 bars most of the time.
