We love Willow Beach. It is very well maintained and the people are pleasant and friendly. The access to the Arkansas River and the nearby islands makes it perfect for kayaking. The sites are nicely spaced for privacy and most have a splendid view of the river. We prefer the summer for camping, of course, but just spent two lovely (and cold!) evenings around the fire watching the pelicans, great blue herons, white egrets and cormorants.

Only stayed one night on 1/11/21. Beautiful campground between 2 bodies of water. Loved watching the sun set and rise over water. Great overnight stay during COVID pandemic. Chose and paid for campsite on-line, then just pulled in and hooked up--no close interaction with anyone! Campsites were well-spaced, next to water, paved and fairly level. Would love to come back in warmer weather, after COVID risk has abated and really enjoy this beautiful park.

Perfect place for an overnight stop on the way through. We stopped both on the way to Texas and on the way back home. It was a great spot. Conveniently near fuel and a Dollar General. Just an overall great stay.

Very well taken care of. The volunteers are always taken care of the sites cleaning them up and getting them ready for the next camper. Changed departure date and the host was very helpful.

Thank you,
Jon

We did like staying at Willow Beach and would have given the place 5 stars but then we had a bad experience with some items being stolen from us there so because of this we weren’t to happy. There is Too many people driving thru the campground that aren’t campground guests so there is no kind of security for those camping. We left 2 days early because of our bad experience and we didn’t feel safe.
