The camp was in really good shape, the person working there was really friendly and did a great job on site upkeep. Like others noted, cell signal was mostly unavailable though we did find a few spots in case you needed it. Overall for us it was a really nice campground and a great weekend.

Cleanest park at the lake. Bathrooms were very clean and well stocked. Friendliest park attendants. Great place for walking.

It was awesome place to stay very clean facilities easy access to boat launch and swimming area very clean camping spot and nice covered picnic table I very highly recommend staying here and will definitely be a returning visitor

Clean. Quiet. Great rv spaces. Cell service was questionable but occasionally could receive signal. Bathrooms clean, large. and good hot water.excellent service by hosts.

Getting There
From Plainview, Arkansas, take Route 60 for 3 mi east to the Access Road. Continue 1 mi south and follow signs into campground.
Highway access
Carter Cove is accessible via Route 60, which connects to US Highway 64 approximately 10 miles to the northwest.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Check-in is at 3:00 p.m.
- Check-out is at 1:00 p.m.
- Park attendants are available from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Site capacity
- Each campsite allows either two tents or one RV and one tent.
Vehicles & parking
- Only highway-legal vehicles are allowed; off-road vehicles are not permitted.
Site types & loops
- Group shelters can only be used for day use; overnight camping is not permitted.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
