We camp here every year. There was no trash pick up. We camped for two weeks. The dumpster was overflowing and stunk VERY badly. Last year there was no dumpster there at all. When we asked we were told there was contract problems. It would really be great if this issue was resolved before we come back next spring. If the trash pickup was not an issue I would rate our stay as excellent.

This is a really nice campground with covered picnic tables, a swimming beach, electric hookups, and showers with decent water pressure. It was pretty quiet when we were there, but I'm sure in the heat of summer, this is a very popular site. We have been impressed with most Army Corps of Engineers sites as they really do provide a good value. I'd happily stay here again. We had a great view at site 9. It is within an hours drive of Petit Jean State Park which is a wonderful destination for hiking and seeing some interesting sites.

What a great find. We were boondocking at another location & our generator stopped working. It was hot that day/night & we have 3 dogs so we packed up drove an hour & found this place on campendiem. Beautiful location right on the water I wish they had better pictures of the sites they had a few drive thru sites which would’ve worked out way better for us as we had a tow & had to unhook. We got there late & left early didn’t use the restrooms but enjoyed our morning walk around the grounds.
