What Guests Are Saying

River Road offers a peaceful camping experience with friendly and attentive hosts, clean facilities, and beautiful scenery by the river and dam. While the site has limited space for large tents and some minor issues like sawdust from tree removal and limited shower availability, overall, guests appreciated the well-maintained grounds and enjoyed their time in nature. The lack of cell service may be a drawback for some, but many found it refreshing and conducive to relaxation.

The campground was not as neet as in the past. The grass was in need of mowing. I had a minnow trap taken that was right below my RV tied up on the river bank.

There was not a lot of room for a large family size tent. There was not a pole to hang trash from, nor were there any trash receptacles available.
Even though there was a burn ban, many people still set up campfires.

Clean bathrooms, flushable toilets, hot shower, no cell service at camp but up the hill at the Dam there is enough to watch YouTube videos or do anything you need.

Great site right on the river. Not too much road noise from hwy 7. Only concern is that the site is not very level, especially for longer RV’s.

Can very much see how the decrease in funding is affecting our cherished public parks and places. Facilities here were far less desirable than past visits. And, we were told to vacate a day early due to govt shutdown. Very disappointing as it was a perfect week weatherwise and we were enjoying that fully.
