To improve the camping experience for our guests at all Beaver Lake campgrounds, the Check-Out time for campsite reservations will be adjusted from 3:00pm to 1:00pm on the day that reservation ends. Great site on the water with a beautiful view. The only problem was there was no water hook-up. I will definitely be returning in the future.

More rangers need to roll through and enforce the park rules, dogs loose, or barking all night. We watched people dumping trash such as mattresses, in the few dumpsters we do have for the weekend campers, I would suspect people that weren’t even camping at the park getting rid of their home trash . Fireworks being shot off in the park even through the sign at the front gate says no fireworks. We camp pretty regularly at horseshoe bend and love camping there, we respect the beauty of the park, but it’s turning into a trashy area.

The campsite was clean. Perfect spot right on the water for fishing, swimming and kayaking. The park ranger came by and she gave the kids some activiy books and the adults got fishing towels. The outhouse was clean. The showers were not in the best shape. One shower did not work, there were no hooks to hang towels or clean clothes and they were dirty.

There was a huge tree that had fallen. It looked as though it had been there a while. It was taking up a large part of the swim area for the site.
Restrooms were either not working or needed assistance NOW. Could not get anything done about it.
We love horseshoe bend! Hopefully next time will be better.

Arrival & departure

  • Check in with the camp host at 4:00 PM and check out by 1:00 PM.

Site capacity

  • Each campsite can have either one RV and one tent or three tents.
  • Camping is limited to 14 days within any 30-day period without special permission.

Vehicles & parking

  • Parking on the grass is not allowed.
  • Off-road vehicles and golf carts are not allowed.

Safety & rules

  • Dumping waste is prohibited; use the dump station or remove waste. Shower and bathroom tents are not allowed.

Fees & deposits

  • Non-campers must pay a $5 area use fee per vehicle and display the receipt.

Pets

  • Pets must be leashed, caged, or penned, and cannot be left unattended at campsites. Owners must clean up after their pets.

Fires & fuel

  • Do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.

Wildlife & food storage

  • Prevent invasive species by cleaning gear before and after your visit and properly disposing of organic waste.
