The site we had reserved online was impossible for us to get into with our 36 foot fifth-wheel. The driveway into it had a dog-leg that required a 45 degree turn. It didn't show it to be that difficult on the website. Thankfully the camp hosts were able to find a satisfactory place for us that happened to be available.

Enjoy the location very much! The people are friendly. Would like to see the facilities cleaned a couple of times throughout the day.

This is a beautiful campground with lots of space and trees. Most sites are close enough to a water outlet that you can fill your tank with a couple of long hoses. So bring some long hoses and a portable tank to carry your gray water to the dump station.
Don't expect to use the showers. There's only one that I found and it was more for washing off after swimming. There's no place to sit and there's no place to hang your clothes.
Get directions to your site when you check in because the signage is lacking. Better yet, figure out where you site is before you get there using the map on Recreation.gov.

campsite was not very clean when we got there. Also it would be nice if you would put more gravel into all of the campsites I remember in the 70s when we would camp it was nice they were covered with the gravel and there was no dirt showing through

We always camp at Horseshoe Bend at least twice a year. This year will be no different other than we almost spent 2 weeks (we normally stay a week) over the 4th of July holiday. We were tired, but enjoyed every second we were there.

Overall the stay was great. I just wish they would keep the camp spaces mowed better.
