Over all, this campground is very nice. Everyone is respectful of others area, and most would be more than willing to give a helping hand.
However, this experience was frustrating. The 30amp breaker that we plugged into kept tripping. We unplugged Everything! Still happened. The breaker by this time was very hot to the touch. Hubs spoke with the manager but nothing was ever done about it. No one looked at it, checked with us to see if we were still having issues, nothing. I was afraid this would cause a fire! No way we’re not running AC(Menopausal women will understand) Hubs switched over to 20amp, easy breezy. No more problems.
Hopefully this has been addressed by now. We love site 80! It’s perfect for our needs!

We absolutely love staying at Horseshoe Bend Campgrounds, the area is always clean and the couples that work at the entrance are always so kind and welcoming. The only issue we have had is with the vulchers at site 147. We woke up one Saturday morning to about 40 of them in our campsite and they had destroyed everything including our canopy and our new boat causing $6500 in damage to the interior of the boat. We still love the site, we just had to learn a very hard lesson to not park our boat at this campsite.

Great campground with lots of space between the sites. No water on most of the sites so fill up your fresh water tank before you go. Turkey vultures are a problem at this campground. Saw several on the top of campers and I would be worried they will damage the roofs. We were in a shaded site so they did not seem to bother us.

The pavilion was terrible dirty, broken glass everywhere, had to sweep up before anyone got there. The grass hasn’t been mowed in over a month, it was over 12” tall in places. Bring you weed eater if you rent this place!

I stayed in camp site 187. It was amazing. It's got an amazing view of the lake. The sunsets and the moon light over the lake was complete serenity. The park rangers were very friendly gave a big sigh of relief of safety.

We loved the area and it was a very nice campground. You need to have better signs for directing people to their sites, especially for after dark arrivals. I would also suggest mowing the grass areas more often. Overall it was great.

This location was absolutely disgusting. We came and dropped our camper at the site, and had to leave for an appointment. There was a used tampon and trash everywhere. There's no water hookups no bathrooms nearby. The guests look like they live there. There were over flowing roll off dumpsters. We came back from the appointment hooked our camper back up to our truck and left, same day. We found a nicely maintained clean campsite, Beaver Lake Hideaway. I've been using campsites for years. I will never use a government agency site again. There's no standard and the site manager was rude. Army Corp of Engineers has ruined Beaver Lake campgrounds.

Great site, easy to get in and out of, this was our first camping experience, our boys loved being so close to the water and bathrooms were within walking distance

Beautiful campsites easy water access.tons of trees and shade even in hot august. We hammock (no tent) found spot that kept us Dru under tarps even on hard rain. We had planned to stay one night while working back to back shows at the Walmart amp-instead stayed for two! We will be back. Guard at front gate was so helpful in telling us how to find and reserve spot - and where showers were. Only negative-huge active wasp nests behind screens in both mens and womens bathroom near campsite 102
