Overall very good experience, site was very easy to access and park. Site was very close to level, only required 1"x12" under front wheels to level. We spent very little time at the campsite since we were visiting friends. Only two negatives, one the acorns hitting the roof scared the heck out of us. My only real complaint was that I couldn't use our blackwater clean out since there was no hose connection available at dump station and that there is only one dump station.
Would we use this site again? Yes, if we couldn't get closer to Springdale. However we'll be making reservations at Hickory Creek in the future and bringing a car with us for local travel. This was our first experience in our new Class C motorhome and with using Recreation.gov to reserve a campsite. It won't be our last.

The campground is nice overall. Most of the sites have easy access to back in to the site. Our site however, and the other sites in our loop had terrible access to get into the site. It had a narrow single lane to come into the short loop with road edges washed out, leaving drop offs of 6-8" along many of the edges. Our site was rated 30' in length, should be no more than 20' max. A pull behind across from us took 30 minutes to get backed in, and a 15' camper beside us barely fit on a 15' site. All these sites on the small loops in this area need to be adjusted to only allow campers that can reasonably access them. After many years of Corps campsites this is the first time we had this issue.

We had spot 138 and it was hard to back the camper into it. The website indicated water hookups but there was not - only water pumps at the dump station and near the bathrooms. The electric hookup was on the same side as the picnic bench. Thankfully our toddlers left that alone. Also there was a 12 inch rocky slope from the pad to the ground - also not ideal for little kids to navigate. Whoever was there before us had spilled dog food all over the picnic table pad and the campsite owners had not cleaned it up. The bathrooms smelled terrible and the shower facility was run-down. Playset was decent but on the far side of the campsite so we had to drive to get to it. The dump station did not have a black tank flush. Weather was beautiful but we will look for other campgrounds at Beaver Lake next year.
