the public spaces including the bathrooms, dump station and other common areas are horrendous. they haven't updated the facilities and with more people camping, the facilities are far inadequate. there are people waiting in lines upto 20 mins to use rest rooms. Facility needs serious upkeep. the trash bins are full and I don't see any maintenance done to any of the camping sites in a long time. The park rangers were stretched out thin and are exhausted.overall far worse experience and this was not the situation few years ago.

Horseshoe Bend is a beautiful place to camp. The only thing that I was confused on was when we got the camper the Good Sam’s book and app say Horseshoe Bend takes the Good Sam’s card but when we asked the gate employees they said no they did not take it? So I’m so confused. But other than that I have nothing but good things to say.

Horseshoe Bend is a beautiful place to camp. Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Check in with the camp host at 4:00 PM and check out by 1:00 PM.
Site capacity
- Each campsite can have either one RV and one tent or three tents.
- Camping is limited to 14 days within any 30-day period without special permission.
Vehicles & parking
- Parking on the grass is not allowed.
- Off-road vehicles and golf carts are not allowed.
Safety & rules
- Dumping waste is prohibited; use the dump station or remove waste. Shower and bathroom tents are not allowed.
Fees & deposits
- Non-campers must pay a $5 area use fee per vehicle and display the receipt.
Pets
- Pets must be leashed, caged, or penned, and cannot be left unattended at campsites. Owners must clean up after their pets.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
Wildlife & food storage
- Prevent invasive species by cleaning gear before and after your visit and properly disposing of organic waste.
