What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with clean facilities and a lovely location by Beaver Lake, perfect for outdoor activities like boating and hiking. Many visitors appreciated the spacious sites, helpful staff, and the amenities available, including a marina and restaurant. However, some campers noted issues with poorly marked trails, uneven sites, and maintenance concerns, particularly with exposed hazards and cleanliness. Overall, it remains a favored destination for many.

Our campsite had 50amp electric and water at the campsite. The site parking pad itself was level, very long, and wide enough for two vehicles to easily park. We did go during the rainy time so the area right around the parking pad was muddy. The sites around our area are very spaced out and it was a quiet and peaceful weekend.

Campsite was narrow and sloped. Dirt had washed away around blacktop leaving a severe drop off. Very crowded conditions. Dirty bathrooms. We were disappointed.

Have stayed in better Corp of Engineer campgrounds. Vault toilets were not in good shape. Only 3 showers for the whole campground. Very narrow roads making it difficult to back camper in. Beautiful lake. Huge. Not much of a beach. Will not return.

Campsite was very unleveled and difficult to even walk around. Biggest problem was two car loads of people showed up in the next site at 1 am and were noisy all night. They never went to sleep as they sat in their cars most of the night and kept turning on their car engine and lights and driving around then returning. One car didn’t have a tag. We felt unsafe and didn’t sleep all night. I think they were probably drug users and probably criminals. I called the local coe office the next morning and reported the problem and ask for a refund of our second night as we decided to leave that park since the trouble makers were still there. So far, I has not been given a refund. I will never return to that camp ground. The place is too close to Rogers and there was no one monitoring the camp ground.

Campsite 18 was adequate save for the concrete curb in front of picnic table which was a major trip hazard. Campsite 81 was poorly graded with broken unmaintained asphalt, no flat spot for a tent, and accumulated thickness of moss and muddy ooze under picnic table. Overhead were numerous dead tree limbs awaiting tragedy. Bath facilities pretty good and clean. Beach was trashed.
