What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with clean facilities and a lovely location by Beaver Lake, perfect for outdoor activities like boating and hiking. Many visitors appreciated the spacious sites, helpful staff, and the amenities available, including a marina and restaurant. However, some campers noted issues with poorly marked trails, uneven sites, and maintenance concerns, particularly with exposed hazards and cleanliness. Overall, it remains a favored destination for many.

This place is the perfect spot for camping of all kinds. There are clear springs , waterfalls , a swimming pool and cafe area. Lits of natural wildlife around to see. Campgrounds are spaced just right to maintain privacy. Biking, hiking, chillin or whatever you do. Facilities are clean I would highly recommend this place for a camp out.

Wish they had water, but it was just across the road, so no complaints! Will stay again!!

There are simply not enough camping sites to meet the demand. Bathrooms are outdated, by 30 years. Its not that they are not cleaned everyday, they are just so old, cleaning does do anything.
I would support a minimal fee increase to address this. Also need to serious look at the camping spots. Many are just too small for trailers, which is part of the problem.
This is going to take an initiative starting with the governor to appoint funds to parks and Corp of Engineers.
Boat parking is a serious problem too. State needs additional boat ramp that people can access. Prairie Creek is the best boat ramp around, but is over capacity all the time

We love the COE campgrounds. We have been pleased with each one we have been to. Check in is easy. Facilities are clean. Every worker that we have encountered have been very kind, helpful and efficient.
Thanks for your hard work keeping these parks available and enjoyable.

Prairie Creek is a large campground next to Beaver Lake. The location is convenient if you want to visit Bentonville or Eureka Springs. The bathrooms are slightly out-of-date and could use sprucing up. We enjoyed a quiet overnight's rest on a chilly evening in mid-May. Enjoyed watching the purple martin birds at dusk near the lake's edge.
