We'd recommend Site 96 for it's view of the lake from a high point on the shore. We had beautiful sunrises from there and the busy marina area was mostly hidden from view around the corner of a bluff. Only complaint is the men's showers were cold, but my wife said the women's showers were hot. Convenient to the Rogers/Bentonville area.

We stay at Prairie Creek a couple of times a year, and it's very consistent - things are generally in decent repair, and the cleaning crews generally do a decent job on the bathrooms. This trip made me realize though that I've never had a hot shower at PC - lukewarm is as good as it gets. This trip was the worst - the lake actually seemed warmer (I tested it). On the plus side, staff were replacing toilets in the waterfront loop bathroom, and a new bathroom building was going up on the day use side of the park, which should take a little pressure off the campground toilet.
If you are in the 50-70 campsites, be prepared for a couple of events every morning. One is the 'running of the bass boats', that takes place almost every day - in at dawn, and out in time to go to work a couple of hours later. Fairly loud. The other daily event is much more comical - the crows that inhabit the area have a morning coffee klatch, discussing the weather, latest gossip, and probably commenting on the bass boat crowd. It's not enough to drown out the bass boats and their tow trucks, but it's a darn amusing way to start the morning!

Facilities and amenities are unkept and worn out. Playgrounds had small rock changed out for wooden chips resulting in children playing atop of mold, termites, and splinters. No park attendant checking in or out campers leading to possible tickets on windshield by rangers when visiting the day use area. Typical government-ran park that is underfunded and ignored.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
