What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with clean facilities and a lovely location by Beaver Lake, perfect for outdoor activities like boating and hiking. Many visitors appreciated the spacious sites, helpful staff, and the amenities available, including a marina and restaurant. However, some campers noted issues with poorly marked trails, uneven sites, and maintenance concerns, particularly with exposed hazards and cleanliness. Overall, it remains a favored destination for many.

Facilities and amenities are unkept and worn out. Playgrounds had small rock changed out for wooden chips resulting in children playing atop of mold, termites, and splinters. No park attendant checking in or out campers leading to possible tickets on windshield by rangers when visiting the day use area. Typical government-ran park that is underfunded and ignored.

We camped the first week of April in a 30 foot RV. It was very quiet this chilly spring week with many unoccupied sites. This is a large, spread-out campground in a beautiful, hilly, wooded setting directly on the lake. It has a nice boat ramp, boat docks, playground and swim beach. The campground is in a great location about 10 minutes outside Rogers, and a short drive to Bentonville and Bella Vista. Our site was about $25/night for electric and water hookups, and a lake view, so a really great value. Some sites on different loops were electric only. I think there are also some primitive sites and sites for tents only. Some of the restrooms just have vault toilets but there is at least one with flush toilets and showers, which I didn't use but looked clean. The biggest negative as some previous posts have mentioned, quite a few sites were unlevel. We were able to switch to a more level site, but I imagine it may be more difficult to switch during the busy summer months. We checked out several of the trails in Rogers and Bentonville, and the Crystal Bridges museum. We plan to go back.

This campground is conveniently located to Rogers. We were there to watch the 2024 eclipse and were pleasantly surprised how quiet the campground was both night and day. The bathroom and shower facilities were very clean. Some of the roads and sites in the campground are very steep, so be careful when making a reservation. Site #42 was a perfect for out 19 foot camper, but the driveway to the pad was angled. Site #42 is also next to (and I mean right next to) the sidewalk to the restroom, but it was not an issue.

Most everything was nice, but the parking pad for campsite 94 was deteriorated. Also, the water in the shower house was cold which made it difficult to shower. Other than that everything was nice.

Our experience was great because of our friends and making the best of the situation, but definitely could’ve been a lot better! It’s obvious that the gentleman that lives by the gate absolutely hates his job and is a miserable person! He makes everyone aware of that and talks to people like they are absolute idiots! We asked about water not being on and he was extremely rude! We asked about trash service and again he was extremely rude!! He informed us that everything was on the website! Well there’s a way to talk to customers and there’s a way to not talk to customers! He should not have any interaction with the public at all! We will probably not go back there because of him, nor will we recommend going there to any of our friends!

The guard attendant was EXTREMELY rude and did not show any concern about his job. We went and knocked on his camper door to ask where to put our trash and was greeted with profanity and how he hated his job and he was going to quit. We enjoyed the campsite but will not be camping there again to be treated with disrespect from someone who obviously hates life.
