What Guests Are Saying
Prairie Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience, with clean facilities and a lovely location by Beaver Lake, perfect for outdoor activities like boating and hiking. Many visitors appreciated the spacious sites, helpful staff, and the amenities available, including a marina and restaurant. However, some campers noted issues with poorly marked trails, uneven sites, and maintenance concerns, particularly with exposed hazards and cleanliness. Overall, it remains a favored destination for many.

Our campsite was not level even after we maxed out the number of leveling blocks we had with us. Also, the shower house could have used a good cleaning/repairing.

Site 007 is very tilted too the door side, but a very nice park.

The marina was nice, that’s the only positive thing really. We stayed on site 64. If you’re a beginner, find a different place, very tight, very narrow site. Overall this park is not a good spot, very busy due to day use area and sites are very close together and not well kept. While I understand keeping the park ‘natural’, it wouldn’t hurt to remove a few trees and fix the pads so they’re wider. The fire ring was right next to a tree and virtually impossible to sit close to. We won’t camp here again

Truck: 2019 Chevy 2500 Crew Cab / Trailer: Imagine by Grand Design, XLS 22RBE. Duration of Stay: Thur-Sun.
We booked this sight for a long weekend since we attended a concert in NWA at the WalMart Amp. It was a PERFECT LOCATION!!! It's a 15-30 minutes drive from campsite to venue (depending on traffic). The sight is level and we had no issues backing our trailer into the spot. Some comments say tight, we didn't think it was a tight spot. Nice shade provided by the trees and ample space between our spot and the 'neighbors' spot. Plenty of room to enjoy outside area. It was very quiet, even when the weekend campers arrived on Friday. We will definitely stay here again for any future concerts we plan to attend, or to just have a nice place to getaway.

We had a great extended weekend (Wed-Sun) at Prairie Creek. Our little loop was nice and secluded while being close to the shower house and park. Traffic was minimal in the camping areas but the entrance point to the park could get busy with a lot of boat traffic. Luckily, there is a separate road to the marina and it was only congested at the entrance.
We used the 30A and water hookups and both worked seamlessly. Water tasted fine, not bad, not great. We only used it for washing dishes and brushing teeth. Showered at the shower house which had room temperature water and would get VERY humid when the sun came up.
Our site (27) was relatively level. Took 1 leveling block on the passenger side and we were set. We have a relatively long pop-up and still had ample room at the back of our site for bikes and space or the truck up front. There was a noticeable dip from the road to the site but it was manageable. Some other sites were much worse. The paved areas for our site were level-ish but anything away from the picnic table area and parking had a significant slope.
Docked 1 star due to the conditions I saw other spaces in and the dated shower house could use a refresh (or just some fans to move air during the hot days)

Site 92 has no tent pad, if we were rent camping solo we would have been in rough shape. Site was private and quiet otherwise!
