We enjoyed our 3 nights. It would be good to note that the bathrooms are quite far from loop B. (There are no bathrooms in that loop) Other than that, we found our stay quite lovely.

At first I was not impressed till we backed on and let the garfe door down on our camper. Was just Beautiful and relaxful. Near by towns as well to stock up on. But the one bad thing is the camp host was missing. No information could be asked. Plus they was burning near by woods which we was not warned about at all. We had to leave for a couple of hours.

This is one of the prettiest, well-kept campgrounds anywhere. Several spots will be your favorite spots and many are right on the water. Plenty to do with swimming, boating, playground, etc. We watched an eagle chase fish in the lake and dive to grab one with his talons and it was spectacular. You are just minutes from convenience stores, cafes, and there's a Dollar General nearby. Because you are so close to Hot Springs, you'll get great reception for TV and phone. The park rangers are always around and it is very safe. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, on our drive to Crystal Springs on the afternoon of our camping reservation, we started smelling smoke and then seeing flames in the forest along the side of the road. When we arrived at the campground, the smoke was very thick and the smell was overpowering. Even though we didn't see anyone, the campground host told us they were doing a "controlled burn". He said this happens periodically. So, beware, and I would recommend you call ahead (if you can find any number to call!) to see if they are burning in the area during your stay. We drove about 10 miles down the road to another federal campground, Tompkins Bend, and thankfully the wind kept the smoke away from that park. We enjoyed that area very much.
