The park is a great for family and group gatherings. Sites are pretty close and most have lots of shade. The sites near the water are much more level than the ones that are not. Watch out for the "Check-out & Check-in" time. A lot of people were not in a hurry to leave by the 4pm Check-out as some left well after 6pm (which is the Check-in time). If you do have an issue, you can call the Park Rangers (if they answer the phone!) or try to see if the Camp Host can help. They were not available so we contacted Recreaction.gov and they found a new site for us.
Other than that the place was fun. There is a beach area/playground for the kids to go and play. Kayaking, various boating, fishing, biking and hiking in the area. Go and see the Quartz / Crystal Mines in the area as well.
Heads up as there is not a grocery close by so get stocked up prior to arriving. Oh there is a small store/liquor store in the town of Crystal Springs but nothing major, jus' sayin'!
Have fun and enjoy your stay, we did!

It was a little weird to have to do self check in since no attendant was at the front entrance gate. But, it worked just fine. A great experience over all.

Our spot was right on the water. Very nice. Campground full during Spring break but still a good experience. Everyone polite. Location close to the horse races.

It’s a beautiful place. We enjoyed being there in March with comfortable temperatures and no bugs. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Always enjoy crystal springs. We usually are in B loop but were in C this time. Loved our site as water was up and it was cool so lack of shade wasn’t a problem. Like A loop showers better. I’m 5’7” and has to squat some for shower. Can’t imagine what someone taller had to do. Overall it was great.

It was a lovely campground. The views were beautiful and our kids loved being right on the swim beach. The camp was pretty quite except for a few loud boats from time to time. There were nice hiking trails nearby and it was a short drive to Hot Springs. The bathrooms and showers were clean but had no soap or hand sanitizer.

We had a nice, quiet stay at Crystal Springs. My two year old granddaughter loved the playground and sandy beach. Even though the campground was full, it was very quiet. Everyone was friendly.
