What Guests Are Saying

Old Post Road offers a clean, spacious, and well-maintained campground with friendly hosts, and excellent river views, making it a favorite for many visitors. Guests appreciated the amenities like the pavilion, boat ramp, and recreational activities, as well as the quiet atmosphere despite some nearby industrial noise. Negative experiences included encounters with rude neighbors and issues with ants, but overall, the positive aspects of the campground's cleanliness and staff support stand out.

We used to love staying here but for the last few years the place has been going downhill. We usually always stay during the July 4th holiday and the lawn is not mowed. We actually have to use our own weed eater to cut the grass so our grandchildren can play. There are dead limbs on the ground and in trees that need to be removed. There are huge holes likely dug by dogs, these have been there for the past 2 years. In the ladies bathroom between the stalls there's a trash receptacle with hinged lids. One of these lids is missing and the other one is bent leaving a gap so that you can see the person in the other stall. There's no privacy. Although I counted what looked like five host campers, there was no interaction with any host on the campground during our 5-day stay. At most campgrounds we stay in, we usually get brochures of the available activities in the area, maybe a trash bag, a tag to hang in our vehicle. But we get nothing here, not even a help or welcome. We are not planning to return to this campground.

Nice clean campground! I love that there was a water hookup! I didn't have to go to the shower house to shower so I don't have comments on that. I liked being near the river. The host was the most though! He saw us coming in, got out of his camper to meet us. We didn't even need to get out of our camper! He gave us the info and tips we needed to find our spot and get in. He even checked on us once we were backed in to make sure we had all we needed. 5 stars to the host.

This campsite and whole area is the perfect place for a getaway. It’s quiet and the campsites are not packed together as many are. We enjoyed our visit and already planning another trip.

Gate attendants were very nice as usual. Still wish they'd limit the number of dogs per campsites, but it was better than it has been in the past. Be nice if every campsite had the covers over the picnic tables. We've already made our summer reservations. Tree limbs had been trimmed which was needed.
