Camp site was ok, water hook ups to far away, and the rest rooms were a disaster. Not clean at all.

First, I got a callback from the US Army Corps of Engineers office confirming that the showers and restrooms were open. Then, with my stay I enjoyed a clean, well maintained campground, from which I ventured out on a nice and totally traffic-free bicycle ride to the Notrebes Bend Campground, which looked to be closed. Merrisach Lake Campground was a winner.

Peaceful, clean facilities, lots of room and open space. The kids enjoyed riding bikes, looking for alligators and fishing. The playground area was completely shut down due to recent storm damage which was disappointing but overall good experience and we will return!
