The campsites were clean and quiet, and the views beautiful! The camp hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the store is well stocked with anything you might have forgotten back home.

Website wasn't clear if the two night minimum pertained to campsites as well, and it does. Other than that is was a wonderful place with very friendly staff.

Gorgeous area and a quiet campsite with enough distance from other campers to get that secluded feelings. It's a little bit of a pain to get here (if you're driving a meh little Nissan like me) on a few miles of dirt roads, but that probably helps keep its mood quiet and low-key. Loved it.

Campsite 5 was great, right next to restroom and a direct path to the trails, only downside is you have to pack up and take your trash out with you

White Rock Mountain is at the tip top of a mountaintop that juts up out of the rolling hills, so you get a spectacular 360 degree view. To reach this remote little hideaway, you have to drive up a dirt/gravel road for what seemed like 30 minutes with the last part being very steep. We managed to do it in a van pulling a trailer without too much trouble as the gravel road was very well maintained. Even though you're very far from modern civilization, we felt very safe as the park hosts and the manager were very attentive and took really good care of the place. They made us feel very welcome and give the whole place a real homey feel.
Highlights include the historic stone cabins that you can rent (2-night minimum). Each one has its own stone porch that looks out over the entire mountain range below. We stayed in the campground. The 9 campsites are spread out so you're not right up against the next group of campers, which makes it relaxing and provides more privacy than most campgrounds. The campground has only two water spigots, so you walk to one of those and fill up your water container. Each site has a picnic table and level tent pad. The campground restroom and the one in the day use area are vaulted toilets and kept very clean.
This area is right on the Ozark Highlands Trail. The OHT section we hiked was not very well maintained as it's apparently run by volunteers who have a hard time keeping up with the vegetation. However, the "Rim Trail" hike that's right by the campground and circumnavigates the top of the mountain is very well maintained and a "must-do". You can do that level 1-hour hike even if you don't camp or stay overnight in a cabin by parking in the day use area ($3 per car) near the main look out point. That experience alone would be worth a drive up the mountain. We stayed three nights and ended up hiking to two waterfalls within a short drive of the campground.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Camp sites are clean and well-maintained. We stayed in site 7, which is very close to the ridge where there is a great view of the surrounding hills and sunset. There is currently no shower house, but after talking to the staff, its seems that there are plans to finish building one relatively soon. All in all, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend staying here.

Loved staying here! The women working the campground was so nice and informative for hikes. There’s an easy, short walk to the rim trail and the best sunset overlook spot from the campsites. The water from the spigots tastes amazing. Clean vault toilets and no noise problems.

It’s such a beautiful campground!!! Will go back every chance that I get. You see staff constantly cleaning up the restrooms. We also noticed them cleaning up and expecting the camp sites after someone’s departure leaving it ready for the next campers. And what can I say about Amber! She was just such an amazing host. Anything you needed, she was always ready to help, in person or by phone. We also had a flat and they were kind enough to let us borrow a small air compressor and help us out even after hours.
On one of the days, my husband and I did a 6 mile hiking trail down the mountain towards shores lake. It was such an amazing experience! Like I said, will most definitely be coming back to this place!
