We ended up leaving a day early because quiet hours were not enforced. There were people who were coming in and setting up their camp sites starting at 10pm and shining their headlights down on other campsites. Others were up until 3-4am being way too loud.

We absolutely loved it here! I've camped at a lot of lakes in my lifetime and this one was by far the most relaxing with tons of wildlife. The scenery was beautiful and the drive up wasn't bad. We had dear in our campsite at night which was entertaining as they are our dogs food they ONLY downside was the poorly maintained restrooms and the black widow infestation in them! Using the restroom after dark was not a choice especially with children. Hope your not shy because you will rather squat outside I assure you 😉 there are tarantulas and tarantula Hawks as well as snakes and whatever kind of big cat roams the hills (mountain lion? Bobcat? IDK 🤷) so be prepared and stay aware of your surroundings always! But that's what I love most. There are like arena areas where they do events, while we were there the park did a show for the kids showing them animals they might see in the region and gave them some information about them. Our trip was back in August when things were hot and dry and we're planning to return in the spring! We love it here!

Really clean bathrooms and campgrounds. Only downside is it's a steep walk down to the lake from where the campgrounds are, but doable.
Overall a great experience.

Campground isn't kept up anymore. Campground host is super nice and great but the Bureau of Land Reclaimation doesn't seem to let the host do anything and the grass is over grown, with weeds taller than your picnic table, garbage after people leave isn't picked up or fire pits aren't cleaned, bottles, cans in pits. Because grass isn't cut down in camp sites and around lots of places for rattle snakes to hide. It's just not kept up like it was years ago.

Fun for camping but not much access to the water.

Area needs major maintenance. Our site, couldn't use picnic table, benches broken, have been for some time. Site over grown with weeds. Low water pressure at RV Dump Station, could not flush tanks on our 5th wheel. Fish Cleaning Station at Angles Cove has not worked for more than a year.

We enjoyed are stay but it would have been much nicer if there was a trail we could reach the water from our site. No shade at all so that was a little uncomfortable, we had a trailer with a shade attached that helped a little. The swim area was big and well shaded so we stayed there most of the day.

The map you have on the website is poor and caused me to reserve a site that was in sun all day. Since I take meds that I shouldn't be in the direct sunlight, this wasn't good. We were able to contact the camp host and got a suitable site. That was the only negative thing about the trip. Please update your map's so shade trees are shown.
