The camp hosts did a fantastic job making sure the campers within the area were good neighbors. The restrooms were exceptionally clean.

Our campsite 73 allowed for 30 trailer and two vehicles.
We called prior to see if it was ok if we had two small tear drop trailers. The person at registration assured us that as long as they didn’t exceed 30ft we were allowed.
When we arrived and registered I asked again to confirm about the two trailers and ask if I had to pay extra or do anything extra. She again assured me it was fine but I would need to get two overflow parking passes from the camp site host once the other trailer arrived because my spot didn’t have parking parking space and you were no longer allowed to park off the asphalt.
When explained to camp host she accused us of lying told us two trailers are not allowed and our friends would be turned away. After about two hours of pleading and worrying and asking who else we could speak with it was finally ok’d by higher ups. Then the camp host came over and demanded $80 cash for the second trailer even though both trailers only equaled 28feet and she refused to give us any over flow parking pass. We will never camp at Lupine again. We never had any problems like this at Wishon. The camp host was rude, miserable and ruined our trip!

The site was on an incline, you were not allowed to have your vehicle within your space, there was barely enough room for the tent, the fire pit with the grill towards the back made no sense, and there was no bear-proof container.

Shade trees were a little sparse, but. Sites were reasonably large and maintained. Camp hosts, I think Ray and Lorraine, we’re great. Very friendly and active in keeping an eye on things. Bathrooms were ell maintained. Lake was the lowest we’ve ever seen it, but still good for boating and swimming.

We had a wonderful time at Lupine campground. The staff, from the registration, the day use attendants, rangers and especially our camp host were great. I have been coming to Bass lake since the 60's with my parents and now with my children and grandchildren. We look forward to this trip every year. Thank you from the Dunn family of Bakersfield, Ca.

Super hot weekend at bass lake. Not enough shade at our site until sunset. No bear boxes and bears frequent the campsite. Couldn’t buy wood unless host was home which wasn’t very often. Bathrooms were clean tho and overall would be nice if it wasn’t scorching hot.

Very nice campground. Listen to the camp host when they warn you about bears and propper storage of food. Our neighbors in the tent camping area had their food bins dragged off twice. Once at night around 2:30am and again in the afternoon while left unattended. Please be responsible with your food to minimize bear encounters. No showers in the area but we usually hang a water jug in a tree for a quick rinse as needed.
