Do not stay here if your hoping for a nice quiet night with the family under the stars. Generators running until 10 pm and later. At 6 am generators are getting fired up. Loud parties going on and nobody except you to try to quiet your drunk neighbors down. It’s clean, bathrooms are kept clean and there is a fire pit. Just remember this review when you go and sit by the fire listening to the sweet sound of somebody else’s generator. Remember this review when you lay In your tent and listen to the drunks in the next camp cuss and scream. Happy camping!

We have been camping here for over twenty years and this was the first year we had a big problem with the bears getting into our food. Every time we left camp we had to ensure ALL of the food was put away. Very inconvenient when it is time to eat finding things. We were planning on camping two weeks but our second Saturday night around midnight one of the campers near us decided at midnight to scare the bears away with his 45. Sounded like a cannon going off! Not a good nights sleep the whole 10 days there. We left the next morning and I paid for the entire stay.

Beautiful clean campground, right across the street from the lake and plenty of trees to find shade throughout the day. The only thing... this could be negative or positive depending who you are... there are active bears! None of the sites have bear boxes and there wasn't much of a warning about it either. I knew there were bears in the area, but because of the lack of bear boxes we figured they didn't come around that often. We saw them almost every day and they were mischievous ones. Either way, makes for a good story just be prepared.

Lupine is a nice campground. The hosts are terrific, and maintain the bathrooms very well. Nightly check through the grounds.
