What Guests Are Saying
Wishon Bass Lake campground offers a great location near the lake and amenities, making it a favorite for many families who return annually. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms and beautiful views, with some sites being spacious enough for larger groups. However, issues such as rude camp hosts, noise disturbances, unlevel campsites, and lack of bear boxes have been noted, impacting the overall experience for some visitors.

I love visiting bass lake and all their campgrounds. Getting away to relax is what I look most forward too. Unfortunately, here the surrounding campsites with larger party’s we’re very loud past 10:00pm. I woke up to music playing next to us and out in the distance and no sign of the host enforcing lights out. The campground itself is beautiful and very close to Millers.

Our campsite was very nice, clean, and quiet. I enjoyed our trip there as we stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. We were campsite 011 which I felt wasn’t too far or too close to the lake, running water, bathrooms, and trash cans. All hosts and staff were very nice and everyone around our campsite and people at the lake were very nice. I will say I’m not sure if it was my mistake and I read it wrong on the website or if I just couldn’t find the showers while I camped but both bathrooms around us had no showers which would’ve been preferred. I will say be careful of wildlife at night. They don’t have any bear safe lockers for food so everything went in the car. And one night someone forgot to close the trash lid and a bear got into it in the middle of the night. Overall good experience though, would go again.

One bathroom didn't have any toilet paper until day 3, the other bathroom's door didn't shut all the way. Trash was overflowing out of the dumpsters. The people next to us were playing loud music and singing at the top of their lungs from 10p until 4am. My friend went to the host camper to complain and the host was not there.
The location was good, close to the lake and Miller's Landing.

Been a Bass Laker since 1963, 3 generations. Well preserved, enjoyable lake year after year. Miller's Landing sets the easy vibe, great atmosphere of feeling like you are away for a happy filled time.

Had a great time tent camping in Wishon campground. Host was friendly, millers landing was very conveniently located right around the corner, and the campsites were cool and unique in that every site is different. It’s not a perfect grid like many campgrounds in other areas. I highly recommend catching a meal at Ducey’s on the lake as well. The grill upstairs is super casual, very cool staff. I brought my dual sport motorcycle and spent the mornings riding the nearby trails and the afternoons in the lake. I’m coming back in October, can’t wait!

There was no host or ranger the whole weekend. Garbage bins were overflowing and people were piling their garbage beside them. Of course there were bears every night in the garbage. People were throwing things at them during the night. People in the site next to us were partying loudly until 5am!! It’s a beautiful place but a horrible experience!
