What Guests Are Saying
Wishon Bass Lake campground offers a great location near the lake and amenities, making it a favorite for many families who return annually. Campers appreciate the clean restrooms and beautiful views, with some sites being spacious enough for larger groups. However, issues such as rude camp hosts, noise disturbances, unlevel campsites, and lack of bear boxes have been noted, impacting the overall experience for some visitors.

Overall the campground was great. There was a rupture in some pipes that led the water in the bathroom, so there was no flushable toilets for a day. It would have gotten a 5 star rating if the camp host actually enforced the quiet hours rule

Great campsite. Perfectly located walking distance to the water. The host was super friendly and warned us about the bears. Said they will be installing bear boxes soon. Other thing was I wish the bathrooms were a little cleaner. They need a good pressure washing.

Vicky our camp host was amazing . She was very helpful . She keeps the bathrooms and campsites very clean. We loved the view and the lake. They do have active bears .

I give it a 3 star because the first day we got there was a Sunday and the bathrooms were not clean. They didn’t get clean until Monday. After that they were cleaned daily. Also quiet time is at 10 pm and the neighbors next to us didn’t care. They were loud until 1 am.
Also the trash at the dumpster was full (not bear proof). The last night my husband and I heard noise close by our campsite. It turned out to be a bear getting into the food that was at the dumpster.
Positive things are that the campground is close by the lake. Walking distance. Showers are close by at Miller’s Landing. There’s also Verizon cell coverage. Yosemite South Entrance was about a 30-40 min drive.

This campground couldn't be in a better location. Right across the street from the lake! 4 stars out of 5 only because lack of trees/spacing between neighboring campers. Otherwise, prime location, great views of lake and lake access, clean camp and bathrooms. Would love to go back. Might just pick a diff site next time.
