Nice, clean. Bathrooms have flushing toilets. Site 21 had a view of the ocean. Nice helpful camp host. It’s just down the road from Jade Cove, which was a nice spot for sunset. Family friendly, lots of solo campers as well as families with small children, multiple generations. The campground is fairly flat and easy to walk around and good for new bike riders to get some practice.

Our camp host, Michael, was fantastic! However, the group site was much smaller than expected. From satellite images, it seems the vegetation has been allowed to grow too close to the campsite, which made it feel quite cramped. Additionally, there was poison oak everywhere, so be cautious.
The site does have a small terraced hill with a couple of additional tent spots, but it’s still better suited for smaller groups—maybe 4-5 tents max, with a shared kitchen and fire pit area. For larger groups, it would be quite challenging to fit everyone comfortably. I highly recommend that the USFS consider clearing some of the overgrowth at this site to improve the space.
Overall, we had a great time—it's hard not to at Plaskett! Just be prepared for limited space at this particular group site.

Excellent host, very clean toilets! There were a lot of ticks unfortunately for our dogs.

Michael was a camp host extraordinaire! He gave us ideas for a full day of hiking and exploring the area and it was the most amazing day. Included redwood forest hike and ropes down to a beautiful cove by the ocean. He was accommodating with our camp location due to pending rain. We loved this site and so appreciate Michael.
