Great campground. #33 is best site, very remote. Great facilities, clean, water, flush toilets, friendly host. Wood is priced steep at $15.

What a cool campground this is! Worth every extra mile we had to drive to get there (Hwy 1 was closed so detoured us through Paso Robles and back up coming from Monterey).
We were right by the entrance of the site and we had ocean view...! The cliffs on the other side of the road are superb and there is plenty to explore nearby. The campground is beautiful but no showers nor working sinks in the bathrooms, so beware if you are staying more than a few nights. You may need to bring your portable shower bags or be good with wipes :)
Love love all the CA state parks campgrounds and this one makes top 3

The campground is immaculate and extremely well maintained. When we first arrived we met the hosts Punky and Michael. Very friendly and fun to chat with. They helped make our stay memorable. Looking forward to another visit this year. Some people have commented on Poison Oak, yes it is around and you will be just fine if you stay on trails and don't venture into the scrub. They have flushing toilets but no handwashing facilities so be prepared. There are faucets of potable water throughout the campground.

Be careful of broken branches above tent sites

This is a beautiful campground with large sites. Some walking/hiking on the bluffs over the ocean across from the campground but the trail to the beach was too eroded for us to hike with a dog. There is no potable water at the campground which should be clearer on the info online about the campground and not just in reviews. We still enjoyed the campground.
