Rock Creek Lake campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with friendly and helpful camp hosts. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, ample outdoor activities like fishing and hiking, and the scenic locations of the campsites. However, some campers noted the proximity of sites, potential bear encounters, and the need for better signage during check-in as areas for improvement.

Be aware that even the "tent only" sites are all walk-to sites! You'll be parking in a lot. They are awful for car campers. The RV sites are a little bit better - you'll at least get a picnic table and fire ring right behind your parking spot, but it's still basically camping in a parking lot with zero privacy. Bathrooms are clean and stocked with soap and the camp hosts are wonderful! The lake is very nice, but overall not a campground I'd stay at again for my camping setup.

We stayed on Site 3, which was wonderful. Be prepared to carry your camping equipment a little ways from your car to the site. Clean restrooms and facilities! we endured some very strong wind and cold weather in late June, so I would also plan accordingly. The camp hosts, Jean and Luis, were very helpful and kind. Overall, very nice place to camp!!

This is our third visit at Rock Creek Lake and we loved it, of course. This specific spot is very sunny, so perfect if its cool outside and you want nothing blocking your view of the stars. If it's warm, this is a good opportunity to use reflective tarps over the bear box or your tents as it gets toasty during the day. There isn't a ton of room to spread out like you might on other spots, so if you have more than two tents, this might be a little tricky to fit. We were able to get 4 tents in but it was a comical layout.

Additionally, Jean and Luis were incredible camp hosts. They were warm, present, attentive and kept all the facilities spotless the entire visit.

Hosts were excellent. The place is super crowded on weekends, but quiets down during the week. Bathrooms are a Waze away from this site. We brought our own. Thank goodness too bc they got clogged and it took some time before they were up and running again. Lots of mosquitos!

The bathrooms were so clean it was really nice. We had an RV spot for one night and it was ok. Just a parking lot with a fire ring and a picnic table but the lake and vicinity is so nice it didn't matter.
