What Guests Are Saying

Rock Creek Lake campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with friendly and helpful camp hosts. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, ample outdoor activities like fishing and hiking, and the scenic locations of the campsites. However, some campers noted the proximity of sites, potential bear encounters, and the need for better signage during check-in as areas for improvement.

Went in June. Days were warm, nights were cold. Plan for mosquitos. We had to make a quick trip to the resort store for mosquito repellent. The lake is beautiful, Tamarack Lakes trailhead is right there in the camp ground. Great place to stay and explore with kids and dogs and a fisherman. Really beautiful.

Beautiful location with plenty of hiking trails, opportunities for fishing, paddleboarding, etc.! Good food at the General Store down the road (short walk from the campground), and the ability to take a hot shower there was clutch. There were a bunch of random bees (they didn't sting or bite) that were constantly buzzing around our camper and were a bit annoying, so would recommend mosquito netting or a screened tent or patio if you plan to spend time just relaxing in your campsite. Overall, great experience and can't wait to return and explore more trails!

Review for Site 25: It is a beautiful site located near a creek. It is a walk-in site approximately 400 ft away from the parking lot (which is not detailed on the site information), so be prepared to carry in all of your gear. The site fronts part of a trail that tracks along the lake, and while it may appear secluded, there is a constant flow of strangers essentially bypassing the site throughout the entire day. The site is very shady for hot summer days, but does not get sun for cold mornings and afternoons. The nearest bathroom is a good distance away.
