Convict Lake Campground offers stunning views, well-maintained facilities, and friendly hosts, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the clean restrooms, proximity to the lake, and various activities like fishing and hiking. However, some sites are small and exposed, with limited shade, and there have been occasional reports of noise and theft. Overall, many guests express a strong desire to return.

We love Convict Lake Campground and have visited twice in August. It's quite cool at the high elevation with the exception of a couple hours mid-day. The lake is conveniently close to the campground. We rented a boat, had a great experience at the rental office. The personnel are very helpful. The facilities are well maintained although there are no showers. Laundromat is close by at the neighboring resort that also has an amazing store where you can buy fishing tackle, beer, wine or anything else you need.

The campground is very easy to find and navigate. Our specific campground, 035, is closest to the trash bin and restrooms, which were clean and well-maintained. It's a decent walk to the campground store and showers, but there's a small nature path that leads to a small bridge over a stream and takes you to the store in half the time. We very much enjoyed our stay at our specific campsite and campground. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful campground! Lots of wind in October but we caught the end of the aspen colors!

Sites are very small and not flat. Super windy on time we visited.

Can’t really say anything bad, pulled right up and unpacked. They had my name on the campsite by the time I arrived and the campgrounds were very well maintained. It was quite cold when we were there for the night and next time we’ll be more prepared for it but that has nothing to do with the campsite and the amenities. I was in spot 2 next to the main entrance by the lake and was able to walk right down and catch trout. I want to go back next year around August and see how it is.

We loved our site # 61...which was a total gamble made on line...but the view of the spectacular granite mtns right out our Class A window was fabulous! We will be back and stay at #61 again! But the "creme de le creme" was finding Convict Lake Restaurant!!
