Our group site (14) was spacious, clean, and had nice views. The camp host was extremely welcoming and the facilities were well maintained.

This is a yearly spot for us. Everyone is very helpful and bathroom are always clean. Close to town but still feels like camping in the forest. Will return. 😊

The campsite itself was nice and clean, but at night there was a group of people making a lot of noise, and the person in charge never did anything about it. The rules are clear, and there is someone in charge specifically to enforce them when people don't follow them. Many of us have children with us, and 2 a.m. is no time to be singing as if it were 7 p.m.

Beautiful and well maintained campground. The hosts were very friendly and despite it being a group campground, it was very quiet at night. I will definitely return to this campground in the future and highly recommend it.

Extremely spacious sites, clean facilities, and shady tree cover for cooler temps. The only thing to know is that it gets quite windy, and the wind rips up the dust at the sites, so we were caked in grime by the end of our stay.

We visited beginning of July. There are endless hiking trails and biking trails. Our campsite was next to one of those bike trails and a short walk to the trolley bus stop. Devil's Postpile is a must-do if visiting in the summer. I enjoyed hiking around the Lakes Basin and Hot Creek areas also.

Nice campground in the Mammoth Lakes area. There is currently a lot of forest thinning, noise, limited access, etc, near the campgrounds.

Right next to the Mammoth Lake Welcome Center, where the free trolley goes to many routes.
Due to the bears' activities, each site has a bear box.
Most sites are flat and pretty big, including a parking space. Very spacious between sites.
Very quiet and kind camp host!
Also right next to Shady Rest Campground, which has flush toilets.
Pine Glen Campground has vault toilets.
Shower - RV resort across from the welcome center, open from Thursday to Sunday.

Larry, the camp host was fantastic and very helpful. The problem with pine gland is the size of the site for larger travel trailers. Each side has railroad ties placed vertically around them making it difficult to get in and out. We had to dig one out to burn it and damage to our trailer and get into the site and out of the site. The sites are designed for nothing more than 30 feet max.

Pine Glen is near Mammoth Lakes, California, 300 miles north of Los Angeles and 165 miles south of Reno, Nevada.
Take U.S. Highway 395 to State Route 203. Proceed west on 203 for 2.8 miles to Old Sawmill Road. Take a right, go 0.1 mile, and turn right into the campground. Proceed to the rear of New Shady Rest Campground near site #127 to the entrance of Pine Glen Campground.
Pine Glen is accessible via US Highway 395, which is approximately 20 miles to the east.

260 mi drive to downtown Palo Alto (about 5 hr 22 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- This is a high elevation facility; please use caution when traveling from lower elevations
- Be bear aware; keep all food out of sight in approved containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from area after eating; always keep a clean camp and do not feed any wild animals
- No showers available
- Only 2 pets per site allowed.
- Fire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. For current fire conditions or weather closures contact the Mammoth Lakes Visitor Center, (760) 924-5500, or the Mono Lakes Visitor Center, (760) 647-3044.
- Please Note: One RV with tow per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. In accordance with standard industry practices, Inyo Recreation will assess an additional $10.00 extra vehicle fee per day for the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicle in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered one vehicle, and the third and fourth motorcycle are also considered one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles.
- Reserved Sites will be held until checkout time (NOON) the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of the second day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Please call the office at 760-934-5795 if you need to inform the campground of an arrival time greater than 24 hours after your arrival date, or if you will not use your reservation whatsoever.
- Once your reservation start date has begun, neither the Recreation.gov Contact Center nor the campground manager will be able to modify your reservation.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect California's forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.

- PASS DISCOUNTS: You must provide your pass and photo identification upon check in. If you received a pass discount for which you were not eligible, you must pay the difference in price upon arrival.
