What Guests Are Saying

Pine Glen offers a fantastic camping experience with friendly and helpful hosts, particularly Merle, and well-maintained, clean facilities. The campground features ample space for groups, plenty of shade, and is conveniently located near various activities. However, some visitors noted issues with limited parking space, a lack of showers, and extra vehicle fees, but these did not overshadow the overall positive experience.

Really close to town. Perfect for the feel of camping but the convenience of modern life.

Our family occupied Site 2 right near the entrance to the group area. Our Camp Host was incredibly friendly and the bathrooms were very clean. He definitely had a pride of ownership approach to his responsibilities.
We stayed 6/1-64/2022. The nights were a little cooler than expected and the wind was letting us know it was there.

We will definitely be back in the future for our next Mammoth camping/fishing adventure.

It would have been 5 stars if it this campground had a showers.
For showers you can go across the street to the RV park (3 min drive) and for $8 you can take a hot shower.
We went on Memorial Day Weekend, it was cold at night and windy...but we still had a great time.
We stayed in site #9

Each group spot has:
*3 bear boxes
*1 fire ring.
*1 water spigot
*4 tables
*4 picnic grills (used as tables for our 22" Blackstones)

Other items to point out:
*4 unisex bathroom stalls (flashing) you share with 2 other sites.
*Plenty of flat ground for your tent
*Ranger has wood for sale, for a good price.
*Deer come up to your site of you don't scare them.
*You can refill your propane tank at the RV pank (3 min drive)
*We heard NO traffic noise (at all)
*Phone reception available (T-mobile, Metro, Verizon)

Great campground but dumpsters were full and disgusting all week and there were too few restrooms for number of campers

We have enjoyed this camp for many years. The last two times unfortunately we have had to leave because of extreme fire danger to the National forest. I hope that we will be getting a rebate for the last trip we made just prior to the Labor day weekend. Thank you.

My favorite campsite in Mammoth. Small circle of spots. Group sites and single site. Host are awesome. Lots of space between sites.

Such a beautiful campsite. Perfectly close to the shops and far enough you don’t feel close to the city. And only a short drive to all my favorite hikes. Less than 15 minutes. Will definitely be back.

This is the first time we stayed at Pine Glen. We did drive to Lake Mary to go in the water and took a hike at Emerald Lake. We had 4 younger kids and even though that hike was not rated hard - it was uphill and very tiring for the kids (3-7). We were in one of the group sites #11. It was a nice site for the kids to run around. It is a nice campground, the bathrooms by us were a little tired looking - but clean. Not the nice brick ones. The elevation isn't as high as the campgrounds around Lake Mary - so you even though you are in the mountains - it was hot during the day and you don't get that forest feeling. That said, you also didn't have mosquitos. It is right next to Hwy 203 - so we heard the road noise when you're trying to go to sleep and that's what we woke up to. You want to want to wake up to quiet and birds... not a Hwy. Not sure I would stay there again - we prefer the higher elevation - more forest feeling and not right next to the highway and town.

The campground was clean and quiet. Lots of space between camps. Lots of trees provided shade for relaxing and the breeze was nice as well. had some large group sites as well. Bathroom was clean and had flush toilets and a sink. we were close to the lakes , Mary.Maimi, George, horseshoe, and Twin. easy access to lots of view poihts. An hour drive to Yosemite, Looked at other campgrounds while we were there and will most likely go back to Pine Glen.
