Great place to camp. The two heated bathrooms (w/flushing toilets!) was a welcome amenity given the temperature in the am was mid/high 30’s.

The "campsite" was a parking space that was like a Safeway parking lot. The next campsite was 3 feet away parking spot.

What a beautiful campsite! The lake and creek are right by you no matter what site you’re at. You have to “hike” into the campsite (I use that term loosely because it’s more like a short walk down a path) but there are wheelbarrows you can use to haul your stuff over which were very useful. I would definitely camp here again. There’s parking for extra guests or day visitors.

The host was not at his abode and was out fishing even though I'm certain he heard and saw me knock on his door. None of the restrooms had a drop of soap in them.

Nice big site next to the creek feeding the lake. Only issue was how far the walk is from the parking lot to the car. I took a video and it was a 2:30 min walk carrying nothing. There are wheelbarrows to use, but even with it was a bit draining unloading the car to the site. So pack as light as possible. Other than that we had a great time!

Sadly, even after imposing a reservation system for Rock Creek Lake Campground, the campground was not being well taken care of and for such a popular location - it showed.
Rock Creek will always be a special place to visit, but we'd like to see our fees being used towards actual maintenance and keeping this beautiful place clean for everyone (including the bears!)

The lake is beautiful. Some of the campsites are surrounded by bushes or are away from the more accessible group-type areas which is nice if you want some additional isolation. The campground was small so that's a plus in my book. Unfortunately, the camp host was out of firewood. The restroom was clean and nice. I was visited by a small bear nosing around in the middle of the night so be sure to keep all of your stuff in the bear box. I recommend this campground.
