What Guests Are Saying
Rock Creek Lake offers a stunning campground with beautiful views, plenty of hiking trails, and excellent opportunities for fishing and paddleboarding. The camp hosts, Jean and Luis, are highly praised for their friendliness and cleanliness, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While some sites require a walk to access facilities and mosquitoes can be a nuisance, many guests express a strong desire to return for the overall positive experience.

Beautiful!
The camp hosts were a lovely couple, very nice. But they mentioned that usually charge for a second vehicle. I made the reservation on line that clearly says that we are allowed 2 cars per site. They didnβt charge us saying that they are supposed to but donβt usually. Not sure where the disconnect is butβ¦. Itβs a little troubling.

So peaceful, lots of mosquitoes and thunderstorms which flooded our site from 4-5pm every day we were there in June. A few sites donβt have good drainage (site18) which could potentially leave you and your bags in a muddy mess. Thankfully we had a small hand trowel which the kids were using for playing in the beach, which freed up some debris and provided relief with drainage.
Also be aware, fishermen here can be territorial with, unforgiving. We were told the water was not for playing in, moments later, man enters water with his rod. π Please remember, we share this world with many species. Fish are not there for your consumption, waters can not be owned for your recreation. Water brings us life, we all depend on these waters. The waters depend on us to care and be respectful to them. We are ALL guests here. Come with an open heart, to be one with all those sharing this space.

Beautiful lake and area. The only thing I didnt like is that the campsite is separate from your parking spot for your car. Im used to having the parking spot and camping spot conjoined. I was looking forward to using a tent on my tailgate but my camp spot was a few yards away. That and all the cars are parked together like a parking lot.
