Beautiful place. Very clean. Bathrooms are very clean and maintained daily. I love flushable toilets! Very close to a nearby store, super convenient. Amazing hiking trails. Buckets for fire pit, and bear safe food storage available & clean!

Site was given away because we were
Running late due to car problems. Host was able to let us park in someone else’s sight. Very lame way to start trip

Reserved one of the "RV Only" sites and it was literally the worst excuse for a campsite I have ever paid good money for. Essentially a parking stall (think mall shopping center parking) complete with painted lines on asphalt and concrete parking blocks. Drove by it three times thinking it was day use parking until we finally realized that it was actually our campsite.

Host wasn't anywhere to be found all weekend. The spot we had was very far up with little space for 6 people to camp.

Lake and surrounding area 10/10. The RV sites are really hit-or-miss. Some are literally a parking spot with a bear box. Others have a little more space. No water or electric hookups and only water spigot is by the bathrooms, a 2 minute walk away. The tent sites are the same. Some of them are spectacular, overlooking the lake. Others are tucked together in a crowded dusty corner. Keep in mind, lakes in the mountains can get pretty windy so the sites overlooking the lake have their trade offs. For one full day during our stay the water and electricity (and therefore, the bathrooms) shut off. The resulting scene at the toilets was not ideal. Still, hard to beat the scenery!

Nice campground and easy walk to lake. Fishing was a little slow but that's ok. Easy access to water. Plenty of hiking opportunities. Only issue, many RV and trailer sites not level. Bring bug spray.

Unit 8 was a RV spot but it was very difficult to back my trailer in because the road was so narrow in front of sites 8&9.

The campground was beautiful, quiet, amazing views of the surrounding mountains and Rock Creek Lake . Explored the campground and hiked the trail around the lake. We also hiked the Little Lakes Valley Trail. We stayed at Site #2 … No shade but totally ok, stayed in early June so the weather was not super hot, views of the lake. No bear encounters. We love Rock Creek Lake Campground and we cannot wait to go back next Summer 2023 .
