Reservation and check in couldn't have been simpler. Showers on site that was an unexpected bonus. Views are amazing

Large, clean sites. We could watch the sunset. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Boat launch area was clean.

We try to camp at grasshopper flat as often as we can. We were able to go for 3 weeks this year! We take my granddaughters because they love to camp. Trying to raise them right😁 Grasshopper flat is the BEST!!

Have been camping there for the last 35 years. Had to ask for the fire pit to be cleaned out. We were there 4 days, the showers were not cleaned once. In the past, they were cleaned everyday! As far as the lake, it has always been a beautiful place to camp.

Camped in site #23 and needed slight leveling. Lovely spot with great filtered views of the lake and a good walking distance to the lake without walking through any other campsites. No bear sightings but LOTS of annoying gnats. Several minor issues that we didn't experience on a previous visit: electricity in shower house and bathrooms was out for probably several hours one afternoon; although it was posted no fires, there were several wood-burning fires.

Group spots 69, 70 are walking distance to lake. We enjoyed our stay.

From Reno, travel north on Highway 395 to Highway 70 and turn west to Portola. From Portola, take County road 126 north for seven miles, then County road 112 to the east side of Lake Davis. It is approximately one mile to the campground.

Generally, campsites will accommodate 2 vehicles. The first vehicle is included in the site fee, the second vehicle fee will be collected onsite at the daily rate posted on the fee sign. |
