We stayed one night on a Thursday and the campground was very quiet (can't vouch for weekends). We had site 2, which was only okay (small, pull-through, near the road), but fine for one night. Would recommend one of the other sites nearer the creek. We had a van, but there were nicely leveled and surfaced tent pads. Views of the mountains are gorgeous. There are two parts to the campground, on opposite sides of the road, and the reservation info versus the campground nomenclature was a bit confusing (Upper and Lower Honeymoon Flats, vs North and South...) North/Upper side of the campground seemed to have more shade and nicer sites. The campground is convenient to Bridgeport, and be sure to take a drive out to Twin Lakes!

This campground is amazing. Has wonderful, quiet atmosphere, we were eating in the company of several deers and does. Your spot is 10 meters from another one, the place for the tent is like 3.5 x3.5 m, and the area for the dinner is seperated having bbq and fireplace also table.

We have enjoyed camping at Honeymoon Flat (lower campground) twice this year. Our Camp Host, (I believe it's Dan), keeps the pit toilets extremely clean and smelling nice. For obvious reasons this is not an easy thing to do but he does it very well! We highly recommend this campground. Our site was right next to Robinson Creek and we caught some very nice trout.

11 of us stayed at Lower honeymoon flat site#5 which is a group campground. Reservations were for August 17th-21, sadly we had to evacuate the 19th due to the Hillary hurricane that came. I would like to receive a refund for the days that we did not stay. But is pending. Besides this Campground was beautiful. Can see deers and shooting stars at night. Has a river stream that runs right on the side and clear water. Can vary from knees to 5ft deep. There is a TON of MOSQUITOES so bring repellent and Cantonilla candles. Weather was drizzling, hot, cold at night and fresh. The host Dan informed us of the weather, camp rules and so far no bears. And would like to keep it that way so put food away. Also a Dumpster and water spot by restrooms. Spot can be used for washing and showering so bring a bucket. Not for drinking. Vault Toilets. Which your waste falls in the hole but has a toilet seat and paper and are well maintained and cleaned by host. Have any other questions ask Dan. Information about site#5. Big Isolated from other Camp sites. Location far from sites 6,7 and host. Clean and well maintained. Include 1circle firepit, 1grill, 2picnic table for 6people each, 2bearbox with measurements I'm guessing are length4ft, width2ft, and height3ft. We were able to fit 2medium size Ice chest with grocery bags around in one and other a big ice chest with a medium size ice chest with 2water buckets inside. Has 2tentpad that are side by side a 12 , 5, and 2 person tent fit. About 4 big rocks are randomly on floor and have grass growing over them. 2 Driveway are provided and can fit 2 others cars. A Truck, Springer van, and Sequoia fit. At the tentpad trees give shade. Brings Canopy and fire wood. Activities drive to MammothLake is a hour away not far for me. Highly recommend Twin Lakes Monovillage. Which is on the right hand side coming out of the campground. To fish, swim, ride boats, Kayak, or paddle board. Need a fishing license. Need to shower or buy ice. Village provides.
