What Guests Are Saying
Warner Valley Campground is a clean, well-maintained site with convenient access to water and trash disposal, and offers a peaceful, remote atmosphere perfect for tent camping. While the campground features several hiking trails and is known for its stunning night skies, visitors should be prepared for a rough gravel road and some primitive restroom facilities. A few campers experienced issues with campsite reservations and specific site conditions, but overall, the tranquil setting and cleanliness make it a hidden gem worth visiting.

Need to put reserved notes on campsite stakes. We got there with a reservation and out spot was taken. We went to another spot and the next day someone told us they had a reservation for it. I understand a lot of the campers are passing through on the PCT but if the spots were marked there would be a lot less confusion.

This campsite was an extreme disappointment. Me and my husband had been to this site many times pre-Dixie fire. This site never had a water spigot in the middle of the campsite and pre-Dixie you could park your car near the site as we have a roof top tent and this site was not concussive to this set up. Upon arrival there were 2 individuals that came on the site to use the water spigot. No fault of theirs. The spigot is literally mid site. Me and my husband did not stay at the site. We left upon assessment and shortly after arrival. I would recommend you look at this site and reconfigure its arrangement. It was a major disappointment as we were looking forward to Warner Valley. We left immediately not staying the 2 nights I had booked.

The campground was clean, privy’s well maintained and water available, trash available and not overflowing. We have been to a fair number of similar campgrounds and this was very nice. I would just say that there does need to be more board walk installed on the trail to the river/PCT overlap-it was a mess from people trying to stay out of the mud-trampling the grass/extending the trail etc

Campsite 2 was unusable for tenting. It was extremely sloped and rocky — it appears that it had been damaged in the burn and not well repaired. I was disappointed to arrive here with 4 other PCT hikers in tow after a long day to find that the campsite we had reserved was in bad shape and we’d have to set up our tents elsewhere (luckily, someone didn’t show up to a different reserved site).

Nice, remote campground with several good tent sites. However, the site I had reserved (#6) wasn't good - two small, lumpy platforms scooped out of the slope, not even the size of a sleeping bag. My tent was tilted and I kept sliding sideways all night.

The road to get there is in rough shape but it's beautiful, never seen the stars so clearly in my life. The burned trees actually add an interesting layer to the surroundings that I didn't expect and there are nice trails nearby. A bit out of the way from the other attractions in the park but easy to reserve.

Play the campsites are small but the problem that we had was that the restrooms were horrendous oh, if you just open the door you started gagging and I am in Avid camper have used many outhouses but this one was especially bad... Other than that I enjoyed all the hiking trails that are nearby and once we figured out how to situate our tents it all worked out in the camp site itself

The campground is nice, but for several days no reservation updates where posted near the sites. Leading to several people arriving at their reserved site with someone else already camping there.

Perfect location near the gysers and hiking trails. Site was quiet and clean. The toilets were immaculate. A gorgeous place to stay.
