What Guests Are Saying
Convict Lake Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful views, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, making it an ideal spot for both short stopovers and extended stays. The campground is well-maintained, with daily bathroom cleaning and convenient amenities like firewood sales and a nearby store. However, many sites lack shade and privacy, and bear encounters can be an issue, particularly for campers with food safety concerns. Overall, visitors appreciate the serene environment and recreational opportunities available in this picturesque area.

We go there every year, twice a year. Early May and mid October. Guy trip. For over 20 years. Weather is always something one needs to be ready for. We had snow, wind, and sunshine all in one week. Be prepared! Fishing was good, not great, but we caught enough for a trout dinner for several guys.
Dennis and Jeff were fantastic as always. Campground hosts par excellence! We had two trailers in 58 and 59. One was my brother’s. I rented from Adventure in Camping. Great company! Been renting from them for years.
Dinner at the restaurant is a must! The resort is stocked with nearly everything you need.
Oops! I’ve said too much. 😊

Our family has been coming here for over 60 years, before there were campsites (except a few on the lake!) and it is still our favorite place to fish/camp. The campground host was great and the sites, and bathrooms, were meticulously maintained.

Convict campgrounds are one of the cleanest campgrounds I have stayed at. The views of the mountains is amazing too. Walking distance to creek and lake. Very much kid friendly. Love these campgrounds #82 is right infront of restroom.

A really lovely camp ground! Our site was large and flat, very comfortable. It was a short walk across to the showers at the neighbouring resort, but watch out as the general store (where you buy shower tokens) closes earlier than some websites suggest! We really enjoyed our stay at Convict Lake campground. My husband went for a nice evening run around the lake, and we also went to the lake to watch sunrise, there was lovely light on the mountains. The facilities were clean and well looked after. We saw groups of deer walking around the campground.

Comfortable campsites and a beautiful setting. We visited in the fall before the winter season enjoyed the changing leaf colors on a hike around the lake.
