What Guests Are Saying
Convict Lake Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful views, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, making it an ideal spot for both short stopovers and extended stays. The campground is well-maintained, with daily bathroom cleaning and convenient amenities like firewood sales and a nearby store. However, many sites lack shade and privacy, and bear encounters can be an issue, particularly for campers with food safety concerns. Overall, visitors appreciate the serene environment and recreational opportunities available in this picturesque area.

Though we weren't impacted we noticed that the reservation for the campsite right next to us was a "no show." Given the high demand for campsites there should either be a required confirmation/checkin grace period or some sort of reservation release mechanism to make the site available to other campers vs leaving the site vacant with others wanting to use it.

Great Lake and campground. Some spots are better than others but I’d definitely recommend and come back if the opportunity presents itself.

Beautiful place to visit, water is freezing and we went in summer so not for swimming, but gorgeous view of lake.

We had a great experience there especially being near Convict creek. Being creekside was satisfying and it was fun for the kids to swim in and play by during the day. The nearby store was well stocked and at a very convenient walking distance from the campground. There is a restaurant next to the store that seemed well visited and offered take-out pizza, but we didn’t try it. Beyond all those conveniences the breathtaking sweeping views of the Eastern sierras from the campsites are what make me come back here over and over.

The Campsite was nice, Clean. The bathrooms were sparkling clean....so nice!! We did the hike to Mildred Lake, while the map says it is 4.5 miles, the sign says 5 miles...and my pedometer said 6 miles...so be aware of that if you choose to go. Now that I have been there once, I now know the campsite numbers I will try to reserve for my next time!!

The campground host's are the best! Campsites and fire pits are clean when you arrive, the bathrooms are VERY clean and sanitized throughout the day, and deer greet you when you arrive! Beside all that, the fishing was awesome!
