What Guests Are Saying
Furnace Creek Campground is well-maintained with clean bathroom facilities and spacious sites, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciated the proximity to major attractions and the helpful staff. However, some noted that the sites can be close together and suggested a need for more electric hookups for comfort during hot weather.

We had a great time as always. The rangers at Furnace Creek were quite rude to tourists asking about the best areas to observe the super bloom. I was so surprised to hear their rudeness especially since there was a map highlighting specific areas of the park right there. I was able to help the foreign tourists just by showing them the map which was right in front of the doors at the visitor center entrance. It was just as they opened the visitor center so I felt they should have had more tolerance for the park guests with questions.

Nice central location for accessing the park. Clean restrooms and wash station. Some campers used the was station as their shower which was no Bueno. The trees near our campsite offered afternoon/evening shade which was appreciated since we were there during an early session heat wave. 108 in March!

Furnace Creek campground was clean, quiet, and pleasant. Our frustration is with all recreation.gov sites: the cancellation policy is way too lenient. The campground was supposedly sold out but there were MANY open sites. This prevents more people from getting to enjoy these beautiful places. It was especially frustrating because we had site 55 which was at the entrance next to about 10 dumpsters--- noisy and smelly location. It would have been fine if there weren't so many empty spots in much nicer locations in the Campground.

The campground is clean and well maintained. It’s centrally located in the park and very close to The Ranch which has several options for food and a general store.
