What Guests Are Saying
Eshom Campground is praised for its beautiful, quiet setting with ample tree cover and a nearby creek, making it ideal for nature lovers. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the restrooms, the informative camp host, and the overall peaceful atmosphere. However, access can be challenging, requiring vehicles with good clearance due to rough roads, and the campground is somewhat distant from major attractions like Sequoia National Park.

The cleanest pit toilets that I've ever seen! This was an awesome campsite and was nearly deserted. We heard a tree fall and lots of rocks falling down valley after a light rainfall, it was an awesome sound! The forest road out was our favorite part. The road was a bit rough in spots, but if you have a 4x4 vehicle (without pulling a trailer), I would suggest it. It brings you up into Kings Canyon Park on the Redwood Forest road so you will have to back track a bit to the gate. This was our favorite campsite out of a 2 week trip!

Nice campground, but it is far from L.A.
Campground itself is quite and nice.
There are many cow droppings during hike on trails.
WiFi signal was good.

A little bit off the beaten path. Definitely don’t take the forest service road. Otherwise it was clean, quiet, and nice. No bear box but the host said we could leave our stuff in the car without issue.

This is a lovely location. But be aware you need to be very confident in your abilities to drive very narrow, windy rough lane & half black top roads that have blind hair pin turns. This is not just the 8 & 1/2 mi road leading up to the campground but the roads leading to that road. You also need to be confident in your equipment. If so enjoy the piece & solitude.

The site was big and bathrooms were super clean. However, was a total nightmare to find the campground with gps and from the rec.gov site
