Site #4 was huge and private. Great place. Wear goggles if you swim in the lake.

I love this campground. There is a wide variety of campsites to choose from. Some shady, some not. The facilities are clean, the camp host is pleasant. I live about 2 hours drive away, and I have made another reservation for this week so I can come back. The town has a pretty good general store, but that is it. Come prepared.

Too many ignorant people. Cutting through your campsite you paid for. Yelling. Dogs barking. No shade. Lake nearby but I'm from the Midwest where there are REAL lakes not dirt holes filled with mucky water and the entire shoreline trampled by the masses. Maybe this is your thing but I'll stick to something more remote. Not into leaving the crowds of LA to find the same crowd just with a different backdrop. Big Bear area as a whole was pretty disappointing for me.

Beautiful campsite. Lots of space. Very quiet - not crowded at all on the weekdays. Hikes very close.
